A notetaker (like Otter) hands you the summary once the meeting is over, too late to reply in the moment. Lyron captions while the person is speaking, so you follow and take part in real time. And it still keeps the history so you can summarize later if you want.

Lyron asks the operating system itself to keep the window out of screen captures (setContentProtection on macOS, SetWindowDisplayAffinity on Windows). The other side of the call sees nothing of the overlay, not even in the recording.

Never. Audio is captured and transcribed on your own machine, on every plan — there is no path in the app that sends audio. When translation happens on Lyron Cloud, only the transcribed text goes through our proxy, and we don’t keep content.

It’s Lyron’s second mode, for text that’s on the screen rather than in the audio. Hit ⌥⌘T, drag a rectangle over anything (game dialogue, a manga bubble, a PDF paragraph, an app menu) and the translation appears in a card beside it, no copy-paste. You can lock the region and repeat it in the same spot with a shortcut.

Everything Lyron translates, from audio and from Vision, is saved locally in a History, organized by session and searchable. On Pro, you ask for a session summary in one click, or ask questions about the conversation (like "what did we decide?"). It even works with audio in your own language: record a lecture and summarize it later.

No. Lyron runs only on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Whisper and the local translator rely on the Apple chip’s acceleration.
