How does Lyron stay invisible in screen share?
On macOS, we use the setContentProtection API which excludes the window from screen captures by Zoom/Meet/Teams. The other side of the call sees nothing of our overlay.
Do you see my audio?
Never in Free mode. Everything runs on your Mac. In Pro mode, you optionally send the transcribed text (not the audio) to Gemini via our proxy — we never store anything.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free runs local (Ollama + Whisper) with 15 Vision captures/month. Pro adds cloud Gemini Flash, unlimited Vision, unlimited history, and early access to new features.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the app (Settings → Account) or Stripe Customer Portal. Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. 7-day guarantee if you change your mind.
Does it work offline?
Free mode: 100% yes. Pro needs internet for cloud Gemini (but you can choose local model in Pro too).
Does Vision work in any game?
Yes, in any window. Steam, GOG, Epic, emulators, Game Pass. Unlike patches/mods that need to be game-specific, Lyron reads the screen directly.
Manga, webtoons, comics?
Yes, on any site/app. Snip the speech bubble → context-aware translation respecting the style.
Can I translate PDFs?
Yes. Open the PDF in any reader and snip the paragraph. Doesn't modify the PDF — shows translation next to it. Works with scanned or text PDFs.
Apple Silicon required?
Recommended for ideal experience (Metal GPU accelerates Whisper). Works on Intel Mac but slower.
When will Windows be supported?
In the roadmap for v2 (3-4 months after macOS launch). Most of it is already portable.
